The RAMMY Awards, known as the “Oscars of Washington DC area restaurants”, recognize and award excellence and achievement in the Washington DC Metropolitan restaurant industry. The first RAMMY Awards Gala, sponsored by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), was held in 1982 and was attended by several dozen restaurant industry players.

The Mason Dixon Master Chef Tournament kicked off its third year with a Breakfast Meet & Greet and Food Show yesterday. The Maryland Food Truck Association, today, joined food trucks across the United States to speak out against proposed regulations in the District of Columbia that limit choice and competition, force closed food trucks and lead to food truck employees losing their jobs.   The Food Truck Association of Metropolitan Washington is a group of more than 60 local food truck owner-operators.
